Say NO to SMART METERS- Here’s the why and how!
Pardon the vernacular, but I want to keep this short, sweet and to the point.
I encourage everyone to download the Brave web browser, to do your internet searches from here on out! Although you should feel confident to parrot this info, I encourage you to look into everything yourself!
Why are the new SMART meters bad?? Well, not only do they omit UNGODLY amounts of EMFs (which are proven to disrupt sleep and create inflammation, activating the metal nanoparticles in our bodies), but they are a way for the Power company to monitor ALL of our consumption. Why do they need/want this data and control? Who needs privacy anyway?! Not only this, but Saskatchewan has had SMART meters rolling out for over a decade- look there!! Court Cases, News Articles etc, all on how houses have burned down and the sickness perpetuated by these ‘earlier model’ and faulty meters!
The power company will try to tell you these SMART meters have less EMFs than your cell phone, they are LYING. In fact, what I find funny, is that when people call up to opt out they are ALL getting told different stories, no rhyme or reason- this shows that the power company can say whatever they want as long as they bully you into agreeing to a new contract!!! THIS IS KEY!!!!!
You ALREADY have one contract with NB Power! You DO NOT HAVE TO CONSENT TO A NEW CONTRACT OR ANY CHANGES TO YOUR CURRENT CONTRACT! The only thing, by their terms, that cancels your old contract with NB Power is if your meter is damaged and needs replacing, or nonpayment.
How do you go about opting out properly??
Write your power company!! Tell them you are perfectly happy with the contract you are currently under and DO NOT CONSENT to a change in that contract, you are opting out of the SMART METER installation due to health concerns, privacy concerns, and concerns of damage to your property.
They will write you back, or call. They will say, ‘Geez, are you sure? We will have to charge you more!’
You write them back or respond- ‘I DO NOT CONSENT TO ANY CHANGE IN MY CURRENT CONTRACT’ – they CAN NOT charge you an extra cent without your consent. !!!
Now they will most likely reach out one more time to try to coerce you into signing a new contract. Stick to your guns, and simply reply ‘I do not consent to ANY changes in my contract’
At this point they will officially add you to the opt out list. EVERYONE should opt out! I got to know my meter reader, who is upset at potentially loosing her job. Luckily, she said we have about two years before NB starts to roll out their program, but we need to act on this now so they know we are not interested- could change their directives.
If you already have a SMART meter installed, paint the inner wall with Yshield paint. It’s about all you can do to cut down on the harmful effects of the EMFs.
